We Canadians will share in any reason have a Party!!   If you want to know, click here for your weather forecast….or trust me, it’s always blue skies and sunshine in our pretty little town ;) http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/canada/ontario/niagara-on-the-lake.

The attached newsletters are published by our local museum which is a must place to visit during your stay! The newsletter is interesting enough but it also lists events and activities that are going on during your stay!

And don’t forget to check out our custom tailored guide book! We are updating it all the time so check it out on our home page on www.niagaraholiayrentals.com !

Now didn’t you pick a great weekend to come to town!! I bet you can hear the Pipes and Drums already!! Fist ever annual Celtic Festival at Fort George is Saturday! Lots of activities from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm http://www.friendsoffortgeorge.ca/events/index.html . Now didn’t you wish you brought your kilt?! No worries, you’ll be dancing anyway with the hundreds of professional musicians, dancers and activities that will bring out the kid in all of us!

This Saturday and Sunday it’s the Lavender festival -758 Niagara Stone Road in Niagara On the Lake.. this is where we get our soaps and shampoo from, so if you like lavender or garlic ice cream (yep it takes all kinds!) check it out http://www.neoblavender.com/

Save up to 30% on the Niagara Park’s Pass by following this link!! http://www.niagaraparks.com/niagara-falls-deals/vacation-packages.html   yeah yeah I know , its typical touristy stuff but still its sooo much fun AND you get to but a check mark on your Bucket List! Personally if you are going to only do one thing on the river, it’s the Whirl Pool Jet Boat tour that goes out of Melville St in NOTL, that is a blast regardless of your age…just leave your wallet, purses, phones behind…and ladies makeup needs to be waterproof or you’ll be really scary lookin’! If you book by calling (905) 468-4800 or go in person and give them my discount code of 140 for $5.00 off per person!

Grocery shopping is at the Value Mart 130 Queen St. Fresh fruit and vegetable stands with all the best of the local produce are all along concession roads in and around town. Best pie is at the Pie Plate in Virgil (1516 Niagara Stone Rd), great organic frozen meats grill ready at the Fruit Shack (1267 Niagara Stone Road but don’t be tempted with their butter tarts, it’s an addiction from first bite!). Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings the Farmer’s Market is open on Hwy 55 just across from Jackson Triggs in the Shopper Drug Mart plaza.

Check out Ravine Winery and Jackson Triggs … they usually have something interesting going on in the vineyards for a great evening of entertainment! (Just bring the mosquito spray!) https://www.ravinevineyard.com/visit or http://www.jacksontriggswinery.com/Events/Amphitheatre !

Simcoe Park at the corner of Queen and King have a wonderful wading pool for the little ones and a beautiful park with play sets. Bigger kids of any age can enjoy the community pool, for more info click this linkhttp://www.notl.org/content/community-awareness-guide

The best way to enjoy our town is walking or biking! If you can’t bring your bikes there are several places to rent, but I suggest reserve in advance!

Don’t forget to call us when you are about 20 minutes away at 905-468-8985!   We are open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm so please make sure you check that you can get on the wireless, that you know how to operate the TV!   If you are checking in outside of our normal business hours please call ahead!

In your vacation home we have after hour emergency contact numbers.
