Top Question we get from first time guests staying with Niagara Holiday Rentals!

“How close are you to Niagara Falls?”  Boy if I had a nickel for every time I answered that question!!

One of the main attractions to our region is Niagara Falls!   I think it’s on a lot of bucket lists, and now with the Canadian dollar so low, it’s cheap to travel to Canada!!   Niagara Falls offers something for everyone,  from just enjoying watching this natural wonder, walking the trails system, visiting the parks, adventurous people like the Niagara Jet Boat or the Horn Blower or the Journey Behind the Falls, others enjoy Niagara Falls Casino and all the shops on Clifton Hills.

One thing though, once Niagara-on-the-Lake has been discovered, this is the place to stay and then its nice to visit Niagara Falls!

Niagara-on-the-Lake is just a scenic 20 minute drive along the Niagara Parkway, East of Niagara on the Lake.   However, good luck just taking 20 minutes to get to Niagara Falls!!!  The drive is so pretty, and there is so much to see along the way that you will be stopping to explore!

Connecting Niagara-on-the-Lake to Niagara Falls is a big long trail great for biking, walking or roller blading!  Also along the shores of the Niagara River there is a trail system for the more adventurous at heart!

Or you can drive and stop at the numerous quaint country shops along the way like Kurtz’s Orchard or the Ice House Winery!  Stop at the River Brink Museum or see where Laura Secord Lived!!  General Brock one of the most historically significant people to Canada a memorial that you can climb to look out over the Niagara gorge for the most spectacular view!!!  There is the floral clock , the aerial ride over the Whirlpool, fudge shops,  Six Nations exhibit and memorials as well as in season parks, like the Lilac Park!!

The best way to see Niagara Falls though is to use the People Mover

The best deal is to get a Niagara Falls Adventure Pass and couple it with a People Mover Pass.  This will save you money and time!  It will also let you focus on just enjoying yourself while having quality time with family and friends!!  You can order on line, using this link

You get discounts for most of the popular attractions plus $100 in coupon savings!!   It includes the Hornblower Niagara Cruse (formerly the Maid of the Mist), Journey behind the Falls, Niagara’s Fury, White Water Walk and a 2 day WEGO Bus pass on the People Mover!   The coupons are for things like the Butterfly Conservatory and the Whirlpool Aero Car!

What time of year is nice to visit Niagara Falls or Niagara-on-the-Lake?  Any time of year!!!  The spring is beautiful because we are the Carolinian forest and have plants and trees that aren’t common to the rest of Canada!  We have Peach and cherry trees in blossom, the summer is great because of the weather averaging around 25 Celsius or about 80 degrees Fahrenheit!  The fall brings warm days, cool nights and beautiful colours as the trees turn magnificent shades of red, orange, yellow and gold!  It’s a winter wonderland here, with bright blue skies and a blanket of snow making it a magical experience!  Come and enjoy any time of year and book your stay with Niagara Holiday Rentals!!!!!
