Santa Claus Parade 2015

December 12, Niagara on the Lake welcomed Santa Claus at the 2015 Christmas Parade!

Niagara on the Lake Christmas Parade has been a family tradition since 1965! It was so amazing to see all the faces of young and old, lining the parade route from the locals, Niagara Falls, Toronto, our American friends and family and beyond welcoming Santa Claus to Niagara on the Lake for his 51st Christmas visit!

This year your vacation rental team of Niagara Holiday Rentals participated. Putting on our amazing Reindeer ugly sweaters, red Santa hats and of course our white gloves! Decorating the Niagara Holiday Rentals van with Christmas lights, sled, presents, Christmas tree and of course Foxy our dog. All could see what our vacation rentals are all about Family and Friends, including your furry family member!

It was so amazing to walk in the parade with my team mates and 5 grandchildren and home owners and their families! Seeing all the excitement on the children’s faces big and small as we handed out candy canes (sour ones) and business size calendars!

The Christmas Parade is so magical, it makes all the bad that has happen in world go away for the 3 hours. You are enjoying the parade! Seeing everyone waving and hearing everyone wishing other Merry Christmas. Just makes you feel so proud of our little town!

The parade was outstanding with over 100 floats and bands and knowing Niagara Holidays Rentals was a part of that was truly magically!! Outstanding bands included the Fife & Drum Corp, Burlington Marching Band, the amazing Top Hats Marching Band and what parade would be complete without bagpipes? The Streetsville Pipe and Drum marching band did an excellent job of swinging those kilts and piping familiar tunes!   We had an amazing preview of the Shaw Festivals costumes for their production of Alice in Wonderland including the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts, its going to be a wonderful production! Along with local business there were floats by Wines of Niagara, the Maid of the Mist (Horn Blower), Just Christmas, Niagara-on-the-Lake Sailing Club, the Lord Mayer, Niagara Roller Girls and the lots of horses, pets from the Lincoln Humane Society, Bones was there from our most excellent major junior hockey team the Niagara Ice Dogs and of course, Santa!

Niagara Holiday Rentals would like to thank the town, local businesses and residents for making a great experience for both our guest and all locals!
