PBS did an excellent special on The Shaw Festival and snips of scenes from Niagara-on-the-Lake. Maybe you can spot yourself in the video!!
I get so wrapped up in work that I think I am too busy to go to the Shaw. This year I missed several opportunities to enjoy the plays and I regret it, especially after seeing this documentary.
There is nothing like live theatre! It is a place where you feel transported into a story in a surreal world. To me it vibrates with the timber of the actors voices, the music transports you to the era and the colour and textures of the costumes and scenery gives the authenticity to really make you fee that you are part of the story. The fly on the wall that we all sometimes would like to be!
