Hello everyone!

We hope your holidays were amazing and you were able to spend time with your loved ones. Christmas can be a very lovely time but also very exhausting!  Doesn't a few days away in a Heritage Home or cottage surrounded by snow covered trees (if your lucky) sound amazing and relaxing?  Why not visit Niagara Holiday Rentals to see if there is something we can do for you!  January is pretty bustling in Niagara-on-the-Lake or you can take this time to make it a very quiet, quaint getaway to read a book you received for Christmas, bring a craft or try a new recipe!

Many of our homes have either gas fireplaces, or wood burning fireplaces with open views of the yards.  Can you just picture curling up with a good book, watching the snow fall while listening to the sounds of the crackling fireplace.  You deserve this quiet after the holidays, we all do!  Bring your new jammies you got for Christmas, your books, a new craft you may have gotten a pair of slippers and your all set!

We also wanted to give you a few hints on what you may need to pack and whats actually included in the homes we rent out.

What's included?

What's included in the  houses

  • kitchen gadgets, utensils, plates, pots and pans, wine glassess,  mugs,  coffee makers, kettles, starting up coffee, tea, salt and pepper, pam   spray,   tin foil, detergent, fabric softener, dishsoap,   garbage bags, sponges, paper   towels, sugar, ice cube trays
  • Linens, towels, shampoo/body wash, hand soap, starting up toliet paper, face cloths, kleenex

Suggestions of items to purchase before coming into  town or bring with you if you can!

  • Condiments, olive oil, extra coffee if you are a coffee drinker, milk, small bag of flour, any spices you may require for your cooking!

Would you like to try a new recipe?

Need some suggestions on some great winter recipes?  How about an amazing squash beef stew.  This is hearty but really easy to make.  It hits the spot and you can all gather around to watch the cook at work or have them cut some veggies up.

Another tasty recipe is a lentil soup, perfect to eat while watching the snow fall lightly on the rooftops and trees around you.  Put on a favourite song to hum along to while it simmers!

Like steak?  Why not make it into a stir fry while sipping a favourite red wine of yours.  This is also very easy and you may even have some leftovers for lunch the next day!

Enjoy either at home or on your vacation and let us know how you made out with them and even take a picture and send it to us.

Worried about bad  weather?  Our bad weather cancellation policy is  when  mother nature is not cooperating and bad weather either from your point of origin or NOTL or somewhere in between - give me a  call and if we all agree I will give you a credit towards  another stay.   Must be used before April 30.

We hope to hear from you and let us know if we can help you with your vacation planning.
