Tasting Notes

Trius Brut Rose (Sparkling Wine)

VQA Niagara-on-the-Lake, 12% alcohol

SWIRL  - What do we see?

Clear, medium intensity, salmon colour with small evenly spaced bubbles.  Traditional method sparkling wine.

SNIFF - What do we smell?

Clean, medium intensity of red apple, citrus, pear, with some strawberry, peach and honey notes

SIP - What do we taste?

Dry, medium plus acidity, medium alcohol, medium body and intensity with flavours of strawberry, peach, citrus, apple and a medium finish.

SO......

We conclude that this wine is suitable for drinking now with potential for aging (due to the level of fruit). We enjoyed as an aperitif but would be great with any celebratory occasion. Very enjoyable even for those that are not fond of dry sparkling wines.
