Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of coffee machine do you have?
A drip coffee maker is available in all rentals. We provide a small amount of coffee, tea, and sugar
packets to get you started.
We also provide salt & pepper, cooking spray and a basic supply of foil, paper towels, toilet
tissue, hand soap, dish/dishwasher soap, laundry soap and fabric softener.
When will I get my security deposit back?
The security deposit is not actually charged. It is just a hold placed on your credit card the day
before your arrival and is removed automatically after your damage free stay. If an issue or accident
does occur during your stay, please let us know and we will resolve it while you are at the house. If
we find damage after you leave, the full $500 is taken and we will call you if the cost to repair
exceeds this amount.
Do we need to bring our own sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels?
Bedding, pillows, and towels are provided with your rental. Extra blankets are provided; however,
feel free to bring extra blankets or a favourite pillow if you prefer.
Is there free high-speed Internet at the house?
Yes, there is free, unlimited Wi-Fi at all rentals. Speed varies at each house, but all rentals have
fast speed for video streaming.
How do I access the rental?
All rentals have contactless check-in with keypad locks or lock boxes. You will receive an email with
the door code on the morning of your arrival. Check-in is any time after 4 PM. Please do not enter the
house prior to check-in time without prior approval. Address of the house can be found in your booking
confirmation.
Is there free parking?
Yes, there is free parking at all rentals. There is a maximum number of vehicles allowed. Please be
sure to only park in the designated spaces and do not park on the grass. Overnight street parking is
not allowed. There is over night parking available behind Prince of Wales or the Hospital Lot (across
from Shaw Festival Theatre). Visit the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake website for further parking information.
Is there a BBQ/grill at the house?
Yes, there is a gas barbecue at all rentals. Propane is provided. There should be a spare tank at the
house in case you run out during your stay, but don't hesitate to contact us for help changing it or
to drop off a spare tank.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes, there is central air conditioning at all rentals. Many also have ceiling fans in the bedrooms.
Who do we call if there is a problem?
In case of personal injury, emergency or fire, call 911 on your cell phone. Address of the rental is
on the blue card in the house. Any other problems during your stay, call the number on the blue card
(also found on the front door of your rental). We are available 24/7 for urgent matters. For non
urgent matters, please call the office or email stay@niagaraholidayrentals.com.
Do I need to clean the rental before I leave?
We ask that you follow simple tidy up instructions as indicated on the blue card in your rental.
Before leaving, we ask that you place all used towels in the bathtub or shower, place all dirty dishes
in the dishwasher and start it (note, a small number of houses do not have a dishwasher, as indicated
in the specific listings), and collect all garbage and recyclables and take to the designated bins
outside. All our rentals are professionally cleaned and disinfected.
